Police investigate string of thefts from four homes
Four homes reported stolen Christmas decorations on Tuesday. Items included a lighted Santa and sleigh, candy canes, two trees, two reindeer, and a wreath. Some decorations were chained to the ground with locks. Total losses were $250. Police say such thefts are rarely recovered.
Forger Found After Bank Withdrawal Stunt Gone Wrong
An elderly man and his daughter learned their accounts were overdrawn after a bank withdrawal. They discovered 19 forged checks totaling over 3200 dollars in the man’s name as police continued the investigation. A Radio Shack employee faced a robbery at Bank of America on Garth Road. the thief stole 1400 dollars and fled in the employee’s vehicle. Police later recovered the vehicle near North Main and FM 1942 with no suspects named.

Car stolen from Wal Mart found burned in Chambers County
