Ministers Plan Christmas Party in Baytown Church
Baytown ministers and their wives will unofficially open the Christmas season at St Pauls Lutheran Church Monday night with a party replacing the regular Ministerial Alliance meeting. Rev. Kerl Bracker says the event aims to help ministers wives get acquainted, with refreshments, candy for children, and a brief business session. The education building will be decorated, and topics include morning radio devotions, policy for radio programs, continuation of fellowship meetings, and Easter observance plans. Membership remains open to all denominations.

Humble Club Keeps Thanksgiving Dance Tradition Alive
About 200 attended the Humble Club annual Thanksgiving dance held the Friday after Thanksgiving. Evelyn Smith served as master of ceremonies. The event, the second Thanksgiving dance sponsored by the club, was directed by social chairman Mrs. E. D. Haney Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Morrow hosted a cocktail party at 122 Cabinets in honor of R. B. Lindsey of Galveston, with eight couples attending. Centerpieces featured holly and ivy, and holly adorned rooms for the occasion.

The Woman's Club postpones its annual anniversary tea set for 2 p.m. Friday because of the Port Arthur Robert E. Lee game.
