Man Stabbed Over Lone Star Card Dispute

A 28-year-old man was stabbed Monday night in a dispute over a Lone Star Card and expected to be released from hospital late Tuesday. Police say Alejandro Galvan, 48, is held without bond on an aggravated assault charge. The victim, stabbed several times, was flown by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Baytown Opens New Lift Station To Shield Wastewater Plant

An 18 month Baytown project, costing 7.2 million dollars funded by Community Development Block Grant funds, moves the central district wastewater treatment lift station out of a floodplain. Baytown resident Celestino Lopez Jr. traced his German lineage to a great grandmother but uncovered Daniel Boone as his seven times great uncle. A 1963 Robert E Lee High School graduate, Lopez grew up in Baytown, attended Lee College, and enjoyed a long career at Motion Enterprises before retiring from AI Certified Inspecting and later working for Pro Inspect.
