Crude futures slump as supplies seen ample through summer
Gasoline and crude futures slid on the NYMEX as expectations of ample U.S. supplies through the summer driving season outweighed late short-covering from Middle East instability. Prices fell with September at 50.70 a barrel and October at 30.70 while Brent on ICE eased. Natural gas rose modestly and gasoline futures dipped before an anticipated EIA and API inventory release.
