Highlands woman dies in accident
A 26-year-old Highlands woman, Cynthia McDuffie Bridwell, died at the scene when her 1982 GMC pickup left Interstate 10 near Monmouth Drive, struck a guard rail, and landed under an overpass. Passenger Dale Lynn Setterlund, 507 Magnolia, was flown by Life Flight to Hermann Hospital in Houston in critical condition with massive head and internal injuries. The crash was investigated by Trooper Michael Wheeless.
