NFO threatens broad boycott to force higher farm prices
Des Moines Iowa AP The National Farmers Organization to pressure food processors proposes an all out market boycott if prices do not rise. More than 35 000 members approve a plan to target corn soybeans wheat milk hogs cattle and lamb prices with a possible three to four day milk hold and regional actions. President Oren Lee Staley says a floor will be set via a new grain bank and direct contracts. Aimed at lifting prices well above current market levels the NFO pledge notes a businesslike calm approach amid past violence rumors.

Tito completes peace mission amid questions of success
Tito wrapped up a swing through Arab lands with indications his talks yielded no Middle East peace formula. Egyptian sources said he plans far reaching activity via personal diplomacy and the United Nations to end the diplomatic stagnation since the July U.N. assembly. Syrian leader Atassi rejected Tito's appeal for realism and held firm anti Israeli lines, while concerns rose over a plan by the Israeli army chief rabbi to pray atop Jerusalem's Temple Hill. The Red Cross noted Arab refugees from Jordan under Israeli control expected to begin returning at about 1,000 daily, with over 20,000 having fled the West Bank since the June war.
