College Library Cited By Holley
Dr. Edward Holley of the University of Houston praised Lee College Library as one of the best junior college libraries in the state. He conducted a survey for the Coordinating Board of the Texas College and University System during a recent visit to the Lee College campus. LC librarian William Peace noted the compliment on the holdings and building and said Holley was impressed with the periodical collection. Peace, at Lee College since June, is surveying the collection to strengthen weaknesses and foster library faculty cooperation as part of higher education efficiency. He filled the vacancy created by Mrs. Mattie Howard’s 22 years as librarian.
