La Porte Lt Swenson graduates from Leadership Command College
Lt Ed Swenson of the La Porte Police Department completed the Leadership Command College program of the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas August 3. The nine week, three module training at Texas A&M University Texas Woman's University and Sam Houston State University covers leadership ethics and administration. Swenson, a 27 year veteran, leads the agency's support services division while pursuing a bachelor degree in criminal justice. LEMIT is funded by a surcharge on criminal court costs and serves about one to two thousand Texas officers annually.
