Judge allows petition effort to move ahead in Baytown
A judge declined to order videotaped depositions by petition organizers seeking a ballot measure on red light camera use in Baytown. Safety Cameras for a Safer Baytown, opposing the petition, claimed the deposition move was intimidation, but the judge rejected that claim and allowed the process to proceed. The issue heads to the City Council on Thursday after certification of the petition group’s eligibility.
