Bulldozer Runs Wild Injuring Worker At Carbon Plant

A Houston man, 25 year old Willam McClellan of 221 Pilot Street, was seriously hurt when a bulldozer operated by him ran in reverse at a carbon black plant. Co workers T Taylor and Arthur Haggerty aided, Taylor describing a sapling caught in the tracks. Reserve Officers Recalled for Uniform Duty by Oct Six

Washington report. The Arty recalls 7862 officers from the unorganized reserve including 182 captains and 612 lieutenants from the 4th Army area covering Texas Oklahoma Arkansas Louisiana and New Mexico. They will be called to active duty for 21 months or as allowed by law, with or without consent, and must be in uniform by October 6. One third will be called by Sept 22 and two thirds by Sept 29. Also recalled are 1582 medical dental veterinary and medical service reserve officers up to major and lieutenant colonel who have not served. The 7862 company grade officers comprise 1908 captains and 6054 lieutenants assigned to six combat arms and 16 services.
