Mile Wide Crater Found After Lander In Northern Quebec
A vast crater, likely the largest yet found, was discovered in a northern Quebec peninsula area from an aerial photo. Dr. V Ben Meen of the Royal Ontario Museum led an expedition with the Toronto Globe and Mail, estimating the meteorite weighed millions of tons and blasted about 10 million tons of granite, with bedrock ripples showing shock. The find hints at a catastrophe capable of destroying cities, while a separate 1938–1945 US Army manpower timeline is noted.
