Survivors include husband, son Ben J Lansford Jr of Mont Belvieu, daughter Mrs B A Parnell of Monroe Louisiana, three grandchildren Bobby Dorris Parnell Monroe Mike and Bennie E Lansford of Mont Belvieu, brothers George Hunter Robinson Oakland CA and Lawrence Robinson McAllen, pallbearers listed.

Washington reports the Marine Corps will mobilize its entire volunteer reserve totaling 80,600 officers and men with 50,000 to be called between August 15 and October 31. Baytown Draft Board No 63 faces difficulty meeting a 100 man September quota and a like number for October. Chief clerk Gaston says many registrants fail to report marriages or changes of address and status, risking immediate induction. The board will enforce reporting laws to meet the required 300 in September.
The first Baytown men called up for selective service are to report Friday at 7 am to the Baytown Draft Board Office Kanzilis Building for physical and mental examinations. They will board two buses to Houston 205 Preston and start exams at 9 am at the Houston Armed Forces Induction Center. Sergeants will conduct rolls and orientation talks before interviews. A list of those accepted will be sent back to the draft board while others are dismissed.
