Baytown Construction Rises 40 Percent Through July
Baytown's building permits show a 40 percent year to date rise with total costs reaching 35.46 million through July compared with 25.32 million last year. July alone accounted for 5.50 million in construction costs, while commercial projects drive most gains despite fewer permits. The largest residential permit is a 100 unit apartment complex at 800 Hunt Road by Technomag Corp, and the top commercial permit is a Wal-Mart at 4900 Garth Road costing about 1.26 million.
