AMA Seeks Priority Plan For Doctors Called To Service
The American Medical Association council on emergency medical service urges legislation to create a priority system for physicians drafted for national service. It favors giving first priority to non veteran physicians educated at government expense during and after WWII and to those deferred during the war to continue studies. It proposes staged eligibility by wartime service and training, with civilian needs considered.
