Fatal crash at FM 1942 Bohemian Hall leaves driver dead
A two vehicle collision at the intersection of FM 1942 and Bohemian Hall killed a Ford pickup driver and sent a female passenger to Memorial Hermann in critical condition. The cement truck driver had minor injuries and names were not released as deputies investigate the 10:50 am crash that stalled traffic.

Tax Free Weekend Starts Friday in Baytown Area
Baytown area shoppers will enjoy a state and local sales tax holiday on clothing and school supplies this weekend. The tax free period runs Friday through Sunday, with savings estimated at about eight dollars per one hundred spent. Since 1999 Texas has held this August sales tax holiday to lure buyers and ease costs for families. Families without children can also benefit by purchasing designated tax exempt items.
