Baytown I-10 corridor TIRZ eyes county join
Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Sylvia Garcia signaled preliminary approval to Baytown’s Interstate 19 corridor Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone project. If joined by the county and other bodies, the TIRZ would reimburse developers via rising tax revenues and boost property values near San Jacinto Mall at the I 10 and Garth Road intersection.

The Harris County Hospital District hosts an End of Summer Health Festival from 10 am to 7 pm at Baytown Health Center offering free screenings and services for eligibility, immunizations, diabetes, cholesterol, dental, vision and hearing checks plus puppet shows and a petting zoo for kids.
