CHS Students Shine at UIL Contests and Activities
Crosby High School sent a group to the UIL event at Lite Cypress High School where CHS freshman Peppy Mangum took second in persuasive speaking and the debate team of Mike Burton and Dennis Duffy placed. Several peers reached finals in prose and poetry, with others in science, spelling, and informative speaking. The article notes staff honors, NHS activities, a sock hop, a state student council convention in Austin, and plans for a Mexico visit tied to a Texas History field trip.
