The auto industry’s heat treatment advances over the past quarter century have doubled vehicle life and quadrupled durability. Modern furnaces and controlled atmospheres enable carbon and alloy modifications, nitriding, cyaniding, and case hardening to produce wear resistant parts like gears, pinions, steering arms, and knuckles. This metallurgical progress enhances strength and safety while prolonging engine and chassis life.
Homer Moses was named service manager for Big Coast Motor Company at the Dodge Plymouth agency. He previously worked for Buck Turner Chevrolet, and Bragg Callaway's Moses Packard agency after moving to Baytown in 1943. Moses has long experience with all car makes and models.
