Barbers Hill ISD seeks bonds for growth and safety
Barbers Hill ISD outlines a two proposition bond plan totaling 65.2 million dollars to add two new grade campuses, convert the intermediate to a middle school, and fund shared facilities, buses, and instructional equipment. A second proposition covers traffic improvements, theater arts space, athletic facility safety upgrades, and stadium improvements. If approved, the district tax rate would rise about 1.6 percent annually for four years, though seniors would not see a hike. The district has grown rapidly and voters have repeatedly approved bonds since 1929, most recently in 2005.
