The Texas Credit Union League inducted Hal Thomas into the Texas Credit Union Hall of Fame honoring over four decades of service starting in 1964 with Exxon Baytown Credit Union. Other names noted include John Whitey White Theresa Lee L and Miguel Grimaldo.

Barbers Hill 4-H Booster Club hosts its largest fundraiser at Cedar Bayou Community Building this Saturday. The event includes a steak fry, live auction with items such as a trailer hitch and dirt, and 22 craft booths offering mas sages baby items quilts and makeovers. Proceeds fund animal projects for the Youth Project Show in May. The effort is led by Booster parents and 89 Barbers Hill students in grades 3 through 12.
Founders of the Richard Roddy Music Scholarship Fund have supported high school musicians aiming for college study in music. To raise at least two additional $1,000 scholarships for year three, community support is sought, highlighting the fund’s mission and upcoming activities on page 3A.
