Colleges Here For Big Rodeo At Baytown Fair
Fifteen colleges from the southern region will take part in the first National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association event, sponsored by the Lee College Rodeo Club, during the Baytown Fair April 20 21 and 22. Performances start at 2 pm Friday and Saturday, with Donny Chapman of Deer Park leading stock. Events include bareback and bull riding saddle bronc, ribbon roping, steer-dogging for boys and barrel racing goat tying for girls. Judges are Johnny Ludtke of Baytown and Jim Hallop of Cleveland. Absentee voting for the Harris County 16 million port bond proposal started April 11 and runs through April 25.
