Levi the visiting dog with a business card brightens neighbors
Wanda Orton recounts neighborhood dogs from Levi the volunteer visiting dog to Todd the door opener and Punkin the attic climber. The column blends fond memories of weathered streets in Fredericksburg and Graywood with playful anecdotes of Caesar Raider, Pooh Bear, and other canine characters fostered by a close community. Baton Rouge Veranda Reflections From a Baytown Native
Chris Buckner writes from Baton Rouge reflecting on LSU ties and Louisiana landmarks. He recalls the capitol light over Huey Long’s statue, the I-10 bridge, and the Atchafalaya Basin Causeway, plus memories of LSU years, local food, and an aviary at Bill’s estate despite a minor farm accident. He signs off noting plans to return to Baytown.
