Police reports detail burglaries and thefts across several blocks, with losses from cars and homes. Notable incidents include items stolen valued at 150, 400, 399, and 700 dollars, a 6000 dollar recovered item, and numerous alcohols and electronics targeted in Saturday and Sunday incidents. Several arrests followed for public intoxication, forgery, shoplifting, and driving while intoxicated in Baytown, La Porte, and nearby areas.
Multiple incidents reported from Ontario Avenue to Garth Road including assaults on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Police arrested a man and woman on James Bowie Street for assault early Monday. Seizures included 1 gram of cocaine and 1.5 grams of marijuana during arrests on Decker Drive, Garth Road, and Rollingbrook Drive. Criminal mischief also noted with vehicle damage and graffiti on several blocks.
Baytown police investigate an aggravated robbery at 10:08 p.m. Saturday at North Main Street and Massey Tompkins Road. The suspect drove a black Honda. an iPhone and iPod worth 488 dollars were stolen. No further details available.
A man was reported missing since 6 p.m. Thursday from the 100 block of Commerce. Police urged anyone with information to contact local authorities.
A 3600 block Tompkins Drive burglary at 4 26 p m Saturday saw 160 dollars in goods stolen. A Sunday 7 am call to Cedar Bayou Rehab Center on West Baker followed a burglary alarm. In Needle Point Road the burglary involved 20000 dollars worth of metal.
A burglary on Garth Road between 8 30 a m and 2 12 p m Saturday stole 300 dollars in cash and 478 dollars of computer equipment. Another break in on North Gulls Cut between 5 a m and 8 p m Sunday took a laptop computer and many DVDs.
A burglary of a motor vehicle occurred in the 3500 block of Garth Road at 2 47 p m Saturday with personal items valued at 100. A separate report cites a burglary on New York Street between 4 30 p m Saturday and early Sunday, with jewelry worth 1 000 stolen. A third incident notes a vehicle theft around 3 30 a m Sunday in the 1300 block.
Between Saturday and Sunday mornings Baytown police filed 33 offense reports and investigated incidents including two assaults two burglaries two burglaries of motor vehicles one criminal mischief two driving while intoxicated cases one robbery six thefts 14 other arrests and three miscellaneous cases. During that period police also investigated 10 motor vehicle accidents with three injuries.
Police documented 30 offense reports between Sunday and Monday mornings including four assaults three burglaries three burglaries of a motor vehicle one DWI arrest three thefts. Officers also handled two traffic accidents. Baytown Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for felony information.
