A firemen's benefit variety show is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Crosby Junior High auditorium to raise funds for firefighting equipment and maintenance in Crosby. Donations at the door. The event features community talent and local participants.

Police report a Baytown Moose Lodge cash theft of 335.05 from a small box in a cabinet occurred between Tuesday night and Wednesday. Officers are investigating. Separate incidents include missing tires from a masonry contractor's wheelbarrows and a home burglary that netted several dollars and piggy banks.
