GCCISD budget plan outlines revenue losses and offsets
LeAnn Dixon notes the 84th Legislature budget affects the district with a 2.5 million revenue loss from ExxonMobil related to foreign trade zone revenues. Gas price declines reduce property values slightly, offset by state funding for expanded CTE programs. Anticipated cuts include data smart phones and TRS costs, with a 10 percent capital outlay freeze and overtime approval requirements. The 2015 2016 projected revenue is 188.743 million with a 85.719 million ending balance and 68.710 million final 2014 2015 budget.
