The Sunday program featured Ogden Nash with interviewer Martin Agronsky and included praise for America’s armed forces. It highlighted scientists and space-age hope, plus a note on peaceful space exploration and a Sunday school class scene.
In Lake City a son named Philip James to Beverly and Jerry Kinney born January 16 at McCrary Rest hospital. We note Perry and Herndon families with the Connells and Kinneys, plus greetings from grandparents and great grandparents. Also mentions the Kenney family adding a fourth son January 19 at Des Moines Iowa Methodist.
Minister A K Miller leads Bible school at 10am with preaching at 11. Young Peoples Meeting at 7pm. Evening service at 7 30pm. Mid week Bible study Wednesday at 7 30pm.
Trinity Lutheran Church lists Thursday choir rehearsal at 7 30 pm. Saturday Bible school at 9 30 am. Sunday Divine service at 10 am with Sunday school 11 am and Bible class 11 am. First session of Missionary school at 2 pm. William Stock is pastor.
Gerald Wolf was honored in a birthday celebration hosted by Mr and Mrs Paul Watkins. Guests included Mr and Mrs Chet Derry and Lee of Bagley Mrs Bertha Watkins Anita Jane Myr and Mrs Gerald Wolf Kerry Earl Wolf family provided refreshments and surprised Gerald. Janice McCool of Omaha visited the John McCool home. Myr and Mrs Paul McCool and their sons attended Sunday dinner with the McCools.

Mrs McClellan was honored in a birthday celebration with Thursday supper guests Mr and Mrs Robert Gideon Shirle and Bob bie and Saturday night gatherings at the McClellan home. Attending were Mr and Mrs John Polich Mr and Mrs Paul Sriedel Mr Lawrence Anderson of Madrid Mr and Mrs Raymond Brannan Mike and Steve and Mr and Mrs Ward McClellan Jr and Debbie. Cards were played.
Pearle Hall of Storm Lake was a weekend guest of her mother Mrs Alice Hall. Mr and Mrs Clive Miller were dinner guests Sunday to celebrate Pearle's birthday which was Tuesday January 21.

Mr and Mrs Glenn Whitcomb hosted a dinner Tuesday for Mr and Mrs Millard Whitcomb and Mr and Mrs Kenneth Whitcomb and family of Bagley. The Millard Whitcombs were honored in celebration of their forty seventh anniversary.
Mr and Mrs Wayne Leek of Ogden were Saturday supper guests of Mr and Mrs Dallas Nelson.
