Commencement Held at Johnston Library Theatre
The High School commencement was held at the Johnston Library Theatre on a well attended Wednesday night. The Covey orchestra provided music and Prof. Owen of Emporia delivered an engaging lecture on education focusing on individuality of the child. Prof. Twente gave a brief speech and awarded diplomas to graduates Ruth Smith and Howard Haines. Afternoon class day drew a full house with all graduates participating.

W Buchan Found Dead in Olympia Factory
William Buchan longtime Heimbach Truck president was found dead on the upper floor of the Olympia factory by his son Carl. He suffered nosebleeds and may have died from apoplexy after recent business worries. Born November 27, 1849 in Savannah Ohio, he lived in Indiana and Kansas before moving to Olympia four years ago. Survived by widow and four children Carl Clay Mrs Schomber Jr and Ella, all of Olympia.

Bees Disrupt Sunday School Attendance
Dr. M. L. Nichols missed the Sunday School last Sunday as his bees swarmed while he prepared to enter in a stiff front shirt. He rushed to save the swarm, and the bees caused chaos by moving about freely, even hiding behind his shirt.
