Bath built craft has reputation for bad weather
The Annie and Reuben, Bath built 129 ton two masted schooner, arrived Portland Harbor during a storm season. Locals credit the vessel with bringing rain whenever it enters, a claim tied to 34 years of granite and stone shipments from Stonington to Portland and beyond. Crew, led by Captain John E. Duke, confirms the pattern as storms follow her arrivals.
