Woolwich notes recount social visits and events across Riggsville and Five Islands. Surprises for Burnside Powers on his 56th birthday, local weddings, house and store reopenings, feldspar mining activity, and growth in Woolwich Grange events and parish matters.
Miss Edith Frost and cousin of Waltham arrived for a brief stay at the Pierce cottage. Miss Lillian Ryder of MacMahan Island has been a guest of her aunt Mrs. Willard Colby at South Port. Master Earl Hagan attends school at Riggsville as his parents stay on the farm. Mrs. Chauncey Lewis, aged sixty three, has busy days harvesting blueberries and raspberries, washing weekly, and managing family needs. Conant Patrick, traveling from Portland, and Lermond H. with Will E. Rowe went to Portland for the Uniform Rank KP field day. Postoffice Inspector Spofford visited town and found business in order.
