Three Constitutional Amendments Defeated in Bath and Sagadahoc County
In a special referendum, all three proposed constitutional amendments failed across Bath and Sagadahoc counties. Voter turnout was light with Ward 1 narrowly supporting amendment 1 by 12 to 11, while amendments 2 and 3 were firmly rejected. West Bath favored bonds for state aid roads, but most towns opposed, and women voters showed little participation overall.
