The Bath Juniors lost 19 to 6 at Morse's field in Winneganee on Thursday night, facing older opponents. Bath Juniors showed speed and teamwork but fell to a stronger lineup. writers note potential for future first class players.
Cedric T. Reynolds, architect of the McLellan home transformation into a Masonic hall, has been contracted to add a wing to the Winthrop grade school. The project, including two new classrooms and department rooms, is a rush job delaying the school opening until completion.
Employes and guests at New Meadows Inn ended the season with a Thursday night party. About thirty attended a tabled meal led by Mrs. Annie Libby, with Olive Lewis and Leah Pike in charge of decorations and music. Mayor Charles H. Cahill attended as guest of honor and praised the staff before dancing and music continued until midnight.
Mrs Blanche M Newell of Gardiner formerly of Bath wed J Franklin McIntosh of Lisbon Falls at the Rieker home in Gardiner on September 5. The ceremony was by Dr T J Winslade of the First Baptist Church. The bride wore white crepe de chine and carried asters. The house was decorated with hydrangeas and fall flowers. The couple received guests and planned a trip to the White Mountains and Boston. Out of town guests included Mr and Mrs Albert Rodick Waterville Mrs Hi B Johnson Portland and Mr and Mrs Edmond Guynn Bath.
The ceremony for Doris Helen Payson and Merton F Payson took place Sunday September 4 at the Methodist Episcopal church in Union. The couple, attended by siblings, had a double ring ceremony beneath a floral arch and later hosted a breakfast for 20. They have since become guests of E Ripley in Bath and purchased the Union lunch room.

Metcalf at Central Maine General Hospital Lewiston.
The buoy boat Zizania entered the river from the west on Monday afternoon and moored at the Howard coal wharf overnight. Tuesday morning it set a few buoys in the river before departing.
