Maine Republicans Sweep statewide and gubernatorial races

Monday election results show Ralph Brewster winning the U S Senate by over 50 000 votes and Senate President Sumner Sewall securing the governor’s chair by a large margin. Maine elected all Republican representatives to Congress and shifted public sentiment against on premise liquor service. Seasonal foliage and a call for prewinter heating checks close the piece with local business notes.
