Former Bath ship builder William T. Donnell dies at 73
William T. Donnell, prominent Bath shipbuilder and former city official, died Monday after a five month illness. He built 79 vessels with partner Deering, later solo, and led a large vessel fleet. Survived by wife Annie Norton and three children from his first marriage. One sister and brother also survive. his brother Eben Donnell died earlier this month.

W T Guptill of Topsham runs for the Maine commissioner of agriculture. A farmer with large potato and cabbage output, he claims Democratic support in Sagadahoc and is active in local grange work. Probate Court meets next Tuesday after news of $1 060 bequest to Patten Free Library and the Y M C A book fund from Rev John O Fiske.

Bath church marks century with long history of leaders
Tomorrow and Monday the First Baptist society of Bath will celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of its organization. Beginning in 1783 with early preaching and 1810 organization, the church built a brick two story building, grew through revival and numerous pastors including Silas Stearns, H G Nott, E H Gray, D W Sheldon, S W Taylor and W A Ashley, among others, shaping Bath's religious life for 100 years.
