Guardian Sues for 18 Shares of Telephone Stock and Money
In Sagadahoc Superior Court Justice Edward P. Murray heard Walter E. Reid as guardian for his ward contend his daughter Mrs. Thomas E. Cromwell obtained a half interest in 18 shares of American Tel and Tel stock valued near 2500 and about 1000 dollars in cash through alleged fraud. Bath Mayor Eyes 50 Men to Quoddy Project
Mayor Arthur Sewall proposes sending about 50 Bath relief heads of families to the Quoddy tidal project in Eastport to cut city costs by roughly 40 percent. He notes 115 to 120 families now rely on relief and foresees savings of 40 000 to 50 000 dollars yearly if 50 men gain work there. Transportation costs might be covered to Eastport. The plan, in its early stages, would seek city aid for employment rather than individual wishes.
