Sheriff Albert Henderson reported a busy day as the Supreme court session opened. Joseph Ritchie, convicted in municipal court of a single sale, was sentenced to six months in Augusta county jail plus a $200 fine and costs, and he withdrew his appeal to the Supreme court. Henderson escorted Ritchie to Augusta and on the return stopped in Richmond to pick up Leslie O Whitehouse who was convicted of automobile larceny in Augusta and had appealed to Sagadahoc Supreme court. Whitehouse was jailed awaiting trial.
