Grand Chapter Visit Inspires Genesta Worthy Matron
Genesta chapter O E S Maine hosted Mary B. Minnett of South Portland for her official visit and year inspection. Twenty one chapters attended as the room glowed with fall chrysanthemums and centerpieces donated by Olim of Kennebec Greenhouse. A banquet featured pastel candles and candy basket favors as Minnett praised the officers and noted two new members welcomed into the chapter. Past Grand Patron and Past Grand Matron Henry G. New Superintendent Attends Dike School Event
Dike schoolhouse drew many parents Thursday evening to view student work and thank teachers for extra hours. New superintendent Loring R. Addison attended a short meeting announcing a December 1 barn dance at Lambert Park Recreation Hall to raise funds for a visual aid slide machine and for a radio and Victrola for pupil use. The PTA plans a December 14 meeting at 7 30 pm and a Christmas craft sale. Mothers of the third grade supplied refreshments. hostesses were Mrs Loeshner, Mrs Snarkey, Mrs Mayor, and Mrs Miarchetti.
