New Cut-Off Pleases Many Bath Motorists
Bath motorists welcomed the new cut off between Brunswick and Gardiner opened Nov 7. The six mile gravel road, from the Topsham Bowdoinham line north to near Richmond Corner, offers a straight smooth route with oiling for first class condition. An overpass near Hallowell opened Nov 6 reduces detours and shortens Brunswick to Hallowell trips by about fifteen minutes. A hearing at Freeport Wednesday will address land damages for the elimination of the old route.
