Mr and Mrs William J Downing of North Woolwich formerly of Bath marked their 60th wedding anniversary. Married in Bath by Rev E W Porter they lived in Bath until moving to Woolwich 25 years ago. She was Addie Jane Getchell born August 20 1855 in Phippsburg. He born January 9 1855 in Wiscasset. They have three children Albert Fred H Thompson and Carolyn Wing and four grandchildren plus one great grandson William Henry Wing. They are active in Farm Bureau Knights of Pythias and Pythian Sisters and attend North Woolwich Methodist Church.

North Woolwich residents observed their 60th wedding anniversary amid Sunday storm and broadcast congratulations. John C. Minott, 99, led well wishes as many calls came by telephone. Attendees included grandchildren and great grandson. some guests could not travel. St Mary's Guild sewed for Diocesan welfare and planned a Dec 3 card party at Grace church parish house. Edward Bridgham leads guild tables, with Mrs. Voorhees in charge of refreshments.

Last Voyage Soon for Coriolanus Ship
The old bark Coriolanus is slated for last voyage this week likely Thursday or Friday as an ocean tug tows her from the Maine Central dock to Fall River yard for scrap. Once a Bath Iron Works project, she never sailed as planned after 1932 and will yield about 400 tons of scrap iron.
