National Editors convention to visit Maine in 1928 at Poland Spring
The National Editorial Association will bring 500 editors to Maine for its annual convention June 21 to 28 at Poland Spring. The event marks the first Maine meeting and only the second New England gathering in the association's years. Chairman Sumner Sewall names county captains for a Will Rogers Memorial fund drive, urging broad voluntary donations rather than large subscriptions. Bath Savings Institution already accepts gifts, noting campaign costs are funded by the aviation industry so all contributions support the memorial.
