Sagadahoc County War Chest chairmen and ward captains gathered at Sedgwick for a spirited meeting. Edward F. Edgren led the event with county president Archibald M. Main, Bath Daily Times publisher Frank B. Nichols, Bowdoin’s Prof. Herbert Ross Brown, and USN Chief Yeoman Martin Wike among others. Dromore Grange Hosts Past Masters Meeting
Past Masters Association of Sagadahoe County will be the guest of Dromore Orange on Tuesday evening, November 14, as the third and fourth degrees are conferred on a candidate class, with the past masters handling the ritual. Robert D. Metcalf, master of Dromore Grange, recently led a class to Topsham Grange for first and second degrees so they could complete the third and fourth at their home. Dromore Grange reports a profitable season with many new members. meetings remain engaging with a wide question period. The next regular meeting is Tuesday evening, next week.

Brilliant social event is wedding of Martha Morse
A noted social occasion marked the marriage of Lieut John L Pfeffer US Navy to Miss Martha Morse daughter of Horace G Morse of Oak Street at Winter Street Congregational church Saturday afternoon before a large crowd. Rev Ralph W Mohney conducted the double ring ceremony with simple elegant decor. The bride wore ivory satin with train long sleeves a Venetian lace veil and a bouquet of white roses orchids and swansonia. Maid of honor Mary Morse wore orchid satin with yellow chrysanthemums in her bouquet. Bridesmaids Jane Stevens and Patricia Sewall wore pale green gowns with matching hats and chrysanthemums. The groom was attended by his father Henry W Pfeffer. ushers included Edson Whitehurst Annapolis graduate John Berry Reginald Murdoch and Leonard Rahn all stationed at the Navy Department Bath Iron Works. Mrs Horace G Morse wore a fuchsia gown with black fuchsia hat and yellow rose corsage. Mrs Henry W Pfeffer wore black crepe with pink roses. A reception followed at 42 Summer Street.
