Audition Festival To Be Held In Bath Next Year
The Western Maine Audition Festival will be held in Bath next May marking the first time the event comes to the city. Cecil V. Rowland announced the invitation from Loring Addison and Stanley Judkins at a Rumford meeting. The two day festival expected to draw four to five thousand musicians includes choruses bands orchestras auditions field drills and an evening concert.

Veteran Craftsman Dies Suddenly Here Sunday
James A. Bimson 84 of 994 Washington Street died suddenly Sunday. Funeral Wednesday at 1 30 p m from A F Mayo Son residence with T Tarpy Schulten of Bath First Church of Christ Scientist officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Bath. He worked 32 years as design engineer at Hyde Windlass Co and died after a long Bath career. Born December 3 1872 in Crewe England he came to Portland in 1882 and Bath in 1895 as a draftsman. He was trial crew on the S S Winifred in 1898 and chief engine draftsman for BSW until 1925. An honorary Mason and 50 year lodge member, he helped organize Patten Free Library since 1917. His widow Verne Blagden Bimson and several nieces and nephews survive.
