Bath to get new water works system plan proposed
A. W. Forbes of the Bath Water Supply Co presented plans for a water system sourced from Thompson's brook, with a 50 foot stand pipe at Rocky Hill and 12 inch main pipes across Bath. The project covers about 14 miles of pipe and 100 hydrants, with a pumping station housing two 1,000,000 gallon daily duplex engines. Contractors were invited to submit sealed proposals by May 24, 1886.
