Prominent Man Robert Guteh’s Frontier Ministry
The narrative paints Robert Guteh as a self moved evangelist whose work spanned the Sagadahoc settlements and river valley frontier. Though no ordination was formal, his ministry resembled a broad religious mission beyond denominational bounds, aiding sick and preached to all classes before his death by drowning. The piece notes probate records detailing his farm and a Bible absence, reflecting frontier hardship.
