More than 100 mothers daughters grandmothers and one great grandmother gathered at the Cosmopolitan club house Wednesday of last week for a Mother and Daughter banquet. Mrs Clinton D Wilson spoke on homemaking as a career noting its joys and burdens in a Q and A with Miss Norma Steussy. The event featured multi generation tables bouquets songs and a food sale announcement by Junior club members.

Junior Class Dance Set for May 23 at High School
The last public high school dance of the year is planned for May 23 from eight to twelve in the gym. The Junior class will host with selected orchestras, patron and patroness invitations listed, and committees for orchestra decorations advertising tickets atrons and checkroom announced. All class members have tickets and attendance is urged.

Commander Easton Retires From Navy After 30 Years Service
Commander Glenn H. Easton U S N retires at his own request after 30 years in the Navy and shifts to civilian work as Assistant Manager of Naval Construction at Moore Dry Dock Co San Francisco effective July 1. The Bath Iron Works veteran organized Trial Boards for the Maritime Commission and oversaw vessel trials. Easton and his family previously lived in Bath and he is a Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers member.

The federal government would pay the salary of a health officer if the city covers a nurse and clerk, estimated at 2000 to 2500 dollars.
