Shaw Mansion Becomes Sedgwick Hotel Show Place
The former Shaw mansion built in 1900 at a cost of 110000 is now the Hotel Sedgwick. Joseph Charles Footer & Sons purchased it for conversion, planning additions while preserving original parlor, dining room, mantels, and elevator. The house features 14 sleeping rooms, sun porch, eight baths, and a rock foundation, with contractor William H. Hartwell and stonework by George DeWolf.
