Davis Jr a merchant and Dorothy M Blake a teacher both of Ashland New Hampshire were married April 25 by City Clerk John W Gilmore justice of the peace in his office in the municipal building Davis is the son of Abraham L Davis and his wife Mrs Davis of Ashland while Mrs Davis is the daughter of H N Blake and his wife of Plymouth both New Hampshire.

Another chick tour is at West Bath on Wednesday May 17 at 1:30 at E C Donnell’s place.
Cummings Motor Co has leased the concrete building from H P Small Inc and will open May 15 as a Ford service and sales station occupying the entire structure. The firm, organized in 1928 and now at 553 Washington Street with the Oldsmobile agency, will maintain a general service station at the new premises. Mrs William Hill and two sons left for Naugatuck Conn after visiting her parents on White Street.

The Ladies auxiliary received thanks for spending 100 on new equipment and improvements. President Eaton led the meeting with White, Low, Nichols, Watson, Stuart, and Perkins in attendance.
Ed Sonia announces the North End baseball team will return to the Y M C A twilight league this summer with a lineup likely unchanged from last year. The roster includes Leon Sonia Ivan Kirkpatrick Raymond Parks Alfred Parks Jack Conley Stan Whitehouse Louis Sanborn Ed Sonia Jerry Gilmore Bill Daley Harold Harrington and Charlie Erdmann. Thorne's Corner grange No. 498 held third and fourth degrees on Friday night. Lewiston notables attended including Mayor R. J. Wiseman and Alderman H. B. Churchill, with Gov. Louis J. Brann unable to attend due to Maine banking issues. A telegram noted the governor's absence. In total 223 Maine granges attended, plus visitors from Cape Cod and California, and a harvest supper followed the ceremony.
