Funeral services held for Horace W Gilpatrick in Richmond

Funeral services were held Friday for Horace W Gilpatrick who died Tuesday night on South Front street in Richmond. He was born October 21 in Webster and lived most of his life here, working as a ship fastern er in local shipyards. Survived by three sons and two daughters, burial in Smith's cemetery.

Maine Senate Recommits Richmond Bridge Bill to Committee

The Maine Senate concurred with the House to recommit Hawkes of Richmonds bill for a State owned toll bridge over the Kennebec river between Richmond and Dresden. The draft may cut cost to 260000 and may charge tolls to foot passengers as well as vehicles, with revenue repaying the state before tolls end.

Hounds Club Hosts Jolly Evening At Masonic Temple

A goodly gathering of Hounds met at the Masonic temple Saturday for the weekly supper and a jolly evening. The Farmington Lodge Society marks the death of Marcia Flagg Butler at 1535 I Street Washington on November 15 1928. A private service occurred in Washington and a second at Yonkers followed by a service in Washington. Her hospitality and civic work with Farmington society left a lasting influence on diplomats, Supreme Court members, Congress, and local friends.

Westport Opens Spring School Term With Same Staff

Westport begins the spring term with the same teachers as winter. Miss Mabel Heal leads the Center class and Mrs Violet Day heads the North school. H A Swanton is chairman of the school committee. E V Lewis oversees school property at the Center and Fred I Greenleaf the North school. The McHeffeys left town for a longer stay and a cottage from the 1918 fire has been removed. Roads will be muddy, and the North End ferry will be hauled soon for repairs.

Father and Daughter Stand Opposed at State House Hearing

Representative Aldrich of Topsham faced his daughter Janet Aldrich of Topsham as he opposed a bill allowing cities to lay out and build bridle paths and trails under street regulations. The measure, introduced by Senator Carlton of Sagadahoc, drew Bath area support with some Brunswick backing during the State House hearing before the Legislative Committee on Legal Affairs.

Fruitless Search for Hit and Run Driver

An Exeter attorney and clients sought Bath residents as the possible hit and run driver in a October collision on the Portland to Bath road. A Maine Cadillac reportedly passed a New Hampshire car on Lafayette highway, causing a New Hampshire vehicle to overturn and injuring a woman who lost four fingers. Despite investigation and a misread license, they found no accurate match and the search remained unanswered.

The Knights of The Golden Eagle form two indoor baseball teams led by captains Earl Lemont and Joseph Larrabee. Each best of five series has two games played with one win per side. Injured Bath boy dies like real hero

Albert H. Ingham of Bath died at City hospital Friday night from injuries after a Tuesday accident when struck from behind while changing a tire on his own car near Merrymeeting Park. He left a bravely cheerful bedside last words to his mother and is survived by his mother and two sisters.
