Early Tuesday morning a fire discovered by a neighbor on the roof of Mr and Mrs George Levya at 22 Turner court was contained by firefighters using two hose lines and a large chemical fire kit. The alarm was set at 530 and the fire out at 540. The Levya couple assisted by neighbors limited damage while Levya, a member of the hook and ladder company, was notified before the blaze began. Sparks from the chimney were suspected as the cause though not confirmed.
