Sea Scout Ship Barracuda members toured the Wiscasset Central Maine Power plant last week. The visit, arranged by Carl Pinson and Edwin Pinson Jr, included inspecting the main fire box under a welder helmet while the plant operated. Accompanying scouts were Skipper Bill Niss and mates Bill Mussenden and Don Cromwell.

Blue Bird Brownies Troop 10 met at Corliss Street vestry Monday last week with 20 members and leader Mrs. Alpha Richardson. Arlene King took dues and attendance, Susan Farrell collected Juliet Lowe fund. The group sang Brownie Promise and Smile Song, and Joan Carol Hart was wished a Happy Birthday. Kathleen Lewis donated margarine cartons. The troop plans 15 packages of cookies for upcoming orders. Girls colored doilies, played games, and ended with Brownie Good Night Tunnel.
Clover Leaf Troop 5 held a Mother Daughter banquet at Hyde Park Community hall on Monday. The event featured meat loaf, red white and blue decor, and unique hatchet-like place cards. Annette Bailey, Mabel Ashe, Jean Belanger and Verna Lee Watts received investitures, with multiple girls earning badges in minerals second class drawing painting hostess cook child care and more.
Peter Pan Brownies gathered Monday at Grace church parish house to collect dues managed by Sandra Sinclair and Bette Anne Aikenhead. Shirley Ames and Susan Bates led the budget. They made original clay models and compared their works after completion, then recited the Brownie Promise and closed with the Goodnight Tunnel.
White Cloverleaf Troop 15 Intermediates met at Mrs Converse G Fenn's High Street home last week. Assistant leader Mrs Howard Mayo attended. Girls earned housekeeper and child care badges while others worked on outdoor snow sculptures.
Mothers of Boy Scout Troop No 52 organized a food sale raising 33 dollars for the troop. Committee members included Mrs Bert Lonn chairwoman Mrs Orris Ames and Mrs Edna Manion with cake by Mrs Harold Tobey presented to Mrs Edward McCabe. Scouts Victor Lonn and Alfred Goodwin became Den Chiefs of Pack 99 Central Church. Pioneer Patrol won the Kins Patrol Cup from the Bears, five time holders, at the last meeting.
Seven respondents, six men and one woman, pleaded guilty at arraignment. Each was fined five dollars and costs. In lieu of payment, 15 day sentences in Kennebec county jail will be served. A driving under the influence case was continued to March 13.

Miss Pearl Elaine McEachern daughter of Mr and Mrs Donald E McEachern of 10 King Street married William E Holmes son of Mr and Mrs Frank J Holmes of Barnstead NH in a single ring ceremony conducted by Rev J O Purdue at Winterloe Congregational parsonage Wednesday evening. The couple were attended by Mr and Mrs Raymond Anderson.
Police Chief Frank L Moriarty spoke at the weekly Sunday AA meeting. He praised their work in rehabilitation, noted there are no fees for membership, and said Bath residents can learn the meeting times and place from him.
