Missing University of Maine students found dead in Stillwater River
The bodies of Bruce Fulton, 24, of Bath, and Mise Reed, 22, of Rumford, affiliated with the University of Maine at Orono, were recovered Monday from the Stillwater River near the old International Paper dam. Officials said foul play is not confirmed as the cause. both victims were last seen April 10 after leaving Farnsworth's cafe. Fulton was identified by an Army bracelet and Sigma Nu pin. Reed's body was found later that night.

Morse High ’22 Class Reunites After 25 Years at Bath
Morse High School class of 1922 held its 25th reunion on June 12 1947 with 37 members attending from across the country. An alumni banquet followed by a party at Bath Country Club featured reminiscing dancing and a flowers tribute to Evelyn Oliver Bykower of Holland. Bath Morse High Alumni Banquet Draws 500 Attendees
More than 500 members of Bath High and Morse High school alumni gathered Thursday night at Central church for the annual banquet. The event opened with an invocation by Rev. O pastor, featured remarks from the class of 1922 rep Moses, and greetings to the oldest member Mrs. Walker of 1879. Officers and committee members were announced, and a roll call of classes from 1879 to 1947 was conducted.
